HEIGHT OF THE CAKE

Tall style cake: The height of the cake will be around 2-3 inches more than the diameter of the cake. For example, a cake with a 6-inch diameter will be around 8-9 inches tall. A standard 5-inch-tall cake is available in 6”x 5”, 8”x5, and 10”x5” sizes.

To help you work out the cake size you require I have included these handy visual references above of the various tiered cake sizes on offer. The image above shows cake sizes in diameter x height measurements in inches and number cakes in centimeters. The measurement does not include the decorations on top of the cake, only the actual cake. For further sizing references and prices please visit our CAKES page on the website.


deposit

Requires deposit to hold any booking. If you don’t get back to me right away please check availability again before making the deposit.

The deposit will be done via bank transfer. In the spring/summer period its recommended you book 3-6 weeks in advance, due to the high demand for cakes during this period.

Deposits are non-refundable. A credit for the deposit may be forwarded to a new booking date if the customer gives at least 2 weeks notice ahead of time. If you cancel the booking or fail to give 2 weeks’ notice for date changes, you will forfeit your deposit and will require another deposit for new booking date.
 

FLOWERS

Regarding fresh flowers, I will use what is available at market on the day. I will accommodate your style and colour as much as possible. Please understand I cannot make flowers bloom for you if they are not in season or available.

The final price will depend on how many colours or types of flowers the cake requires.

If you like specific flowers, multicolours, or a particular colour, this may incur extra charges and require advance notice of more than 4 weeks. I can import flowers if this particular flower is important to you but the cost will go up accordingly. I am in no way responsible if the flowers are not available due to any reason. The extra charges will be refunded to you if your specific flowers were not sourced and substitute flowers used.

To ensure the flowers are fresh, I recommend you pick up the cake the same day of the event. The flowers can stay overnight in the fridge but please let me know if you are going to do this. Some flowers such as the edible flowers will dry out very fast so it is not recommended to keep overnight.
 

CAKE TOPPERS

Acrylic cake toppers such as Happy birthday, one, eighteen, twenty-one, thirty, fifty, sixty and oh baby are available for $20-35 dollars.

Custom cake toppers can be arranged for you from a local Perth supplier for between $30-45.
 

ORDER CHANGES & ALTERATIONS

If you are adding items to your order there are no added charges or costs, however, if you need to reduce the number or amount of your order please contact me 2 weeks ahead of time or a cancellation fee will be applied.

Cancellation fee is 50% of the cost of the cancelled items.
 

TRANSPORTING THE CAKE

The best way to transport the cake is to have a passenger carry the cake box in the car. Alternatively, keep the cake box on the floor of your car and make sure the air conditioning is on. Before transporting, please ensure the cake is well refrigerated.

**Any damage occurring during transport or mishandling after the cake leaves my address, I may be able to help fix but this is entirely up to my availability. So please be very careful especially for the tall cakes.

CAKE TASTING

Currently not offer any cake tasting

STORING THE CAKES, MACARONS, COOKIES & CUPCAKES

Keep your cake cool, refrigerated and avoid placing it in direct sunlight. I recommend removing your cake from the fridge approximately 30 minutes to 1 hour, prior to consumption. It is best served at room temperature but be careful not to leave the cake out for too long on hot summer days. 

In winter, if temperatures are below 20 C, it is okay for the cake not to be refrigerated. If you're planning to display the cake longer than 30 minutes to 1 hour, please make sure the venue is air conditioned for summer weather.

Cakes last up to 3-4 days in a fridge, in an air tight container.

Macarons need to be stored in a fridge and can last up to 3-4 days.
 

PICK UP

I am located in Greenwood, Western Australia. Pick up address will be only given once you made booking .Cake pick up times are strictly between:

Monday to Friday 8:30am - 5:30pm
Saturday 8:30am - 12:00pm
Sunday 8:30am - 12:00pm
 

ORDER PICK UP DAY

I suggest the person that places the order for the cake or items attends on the day in person. This is so that they can check the order to make sure that they are happy with the items and that there are no issues before they leave.

If there are any issues let me know right away and I can fix it where possible. It is rare that it happens but please check the cake. If you send someone to pick up the cake and when you receive it you don’t like it or have any issue with it, I am not responsible for fixing the cake or giving a discount or refund. 

If you have a balance to pay, please make sure to bring cash. I do not accept bank transfers on the same day of the order pickup. There are many ATM’s at Warwick shopping centre which is located just 4 minutes from my location.
